Tasks
in the Photovoltaics Environment: |
|
Photovoltaics
activities are under the responsibility of two departments: photovoltaics
research coordination is undertaken by the Energy Research Section,
Energy Economy Division and market issues are undertaken by the
Renewable Energy Section, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
Division.
The
Energy
Economy Division functions as the main point of contact
for all aspects of national and international energy policy, and
is responsible for the development of energy policy principles.
Its activities include evaluations, impact analyses, statistics
and long-term energy perspectives. Especially the activities include
the co-ordination of national energy research, the implementation
of federal government energy research programmes, and activities
relating to technology transfer.
The Energy
Efficiency and Renewable Energy Division is the Swiss Federal
Office of Energys competence centre for efficient energy use
and the promotion of renewable energy, including hydropower. It
co-ordinates the implementation and enforcement of legislation in
these areas, and in the area of training and further education it
secures the ongoing development of technologies and know-how transfer.
One of its most important responsibilities is the management and
co-ordination of the SwissEnergy programme.
